Volunteer

GEN Australia acknowledges the invaluable contribution by all who have co-created and co-held the organisation and network since its inception and over the last few years. All these wonderful humans have volunteered their time and energy, to help shape the organisation that supports the network.

If you would like to learn more about the ecovillage movement in Australia and help to shape its future, we invite you to join one of our working groups. You can deepen your connections with the network and collaborate on projects both internally and externally. We have working groups in many different areas and are continuously seeking passionate people to join our teams.

Volunteer remotely

For self-directed, independent volunteers who can contribute time virtually a few hours a week, or as needed, we would love your help in the following areas:

  • Graphic design
  • Harvesting stories and creating content (video, written, photographic)
  • Website maintenance
  • Periodically checking the ecovillage database to make sure that projects are active
  • Project assistance
  • Event organising
  • Social media
  • Research

We are Looking for People Who

  • Have great people skills and an interest in ecovillage living
  • Can work remotely, independently and consistently
  • Can work with or are willing to learn to use Google Drive & WordPress
  • Be reliable and available for regular meetings
  • Have a sense of adventure and are flexible with new cultures
  • Want to make a contribution in the world

To Apply

We would love to hear more about you and what you would like to get you involved with, so we can match you with tasks that you are passionate about and that are also needed for GEN Australia.
